Thank you for your interest in submitting to JOKERJOKERtv. Every week on the program we feature all sorts of underground weirdos and artists music videos, short film, animation, burlesque, skits, interviews with artists, indie game/toy reviews, and so much more. We are open to experimenting with ideas from artists, collaborations, and residencies. Below is information to help you in submitting your works to have them seen on the show, please READ through this info before submitting. We the producers of the show are weirdo artists ourselves, and we created this show to allow us to share other cool odd and weirdo artist’s works. We are truely excited to see what you have to submit.

JOKERJOKERtv does not tolerate any form of hurtful language, discrimination, abuse, marginalisation and insulting behaviour on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, background, skin colour, sexuality, gender identity, socio-economic class, caste, disability or age. We do not accept submissions that promote sexism, racism, colourism, homophobia, biphobia, interphobia and transphobia or hostility, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, fascism, age discrimination, ableism as well as other and/or intersectional forms of discrimination.

WHAT TO SUBMIT: 

PERFORMERS/MUSICIANS: New or old music videos, performance videos (one song per video). Video submissions should be around 7 minutes or less. If your piece is longer than 7 mins we may still be able to share your video show us what you got and we’ll work it out. Submit as many videos as you want us to feature.

PERFORM LIVE: Wanna perform LIVE onair? Let’s talk because this must be booked in advance, and only on Thursday evenings.

WRITERS: Writers of all types, READING SUBMISSIONS accepted on an ongoing basis. Send your original short story, excerpt or poem to tvjokerjoker@gmail.com ATTN: JEN FOR SONIC TONIC. Readings must meet all of the following requirements to be considered:

  • Original written work submitted by the author 
  • Poem or Exerpts should takes approximately 5 minutes to read aloud at a storytelling pace (this matters more than word count. Jen reads at a slow, steady pace)
  • Contains relaxing, soothing, pleasant content throughout 
  • Avoids stressful content 
  • What we love: Nature imagery, fantasy, gentle stories, excerpts from larger works, bedtime stories for adults, etc.

FILMMAKERS/ANIMATORS: send us your short films and animations, trailers, etc weird clips… or let’s talk about other specific ideas for collaboration with JJtv. Video submissions should be around 7 minutes or less. If your piece is longer than 7 mins we may still be able to share your video, but we may have to split longer videos into different parts for the episode. Show us what you got and we’ll work it out!

ALL ARTISTS: We want to run any fun weird short bumpers/segues you can create, like if you want to get creative and make a “I Want My JOKERJOKERtv” clip… please keep these to about 10-15 sec max. Also send flyers/posters and updates about upcoming releases, current projects and events, tour announcements, etc.

ARTIST ADS: If you would like to place an ad on the program we have special pricing for Artists go here: ARTIST ADS, or for businesses go here: BIZ ADS. There is a difference between “Submissions” and “Ads”: We will show your art off for free, but if you want to advertise something we offer this special artist price.

THINGS TO INCLUDE WITH SUBMISSION: 

  • Email submission files to: tvjokerjoker@gmail(dot)com
  • Keep in mind that we book episode weeks in advance, so if you have a timely release schedule include that info with the submission.
  • Email your submissions as a 720p or 1080p MP4 files. Many people use WeTransfer to send up to 2gb files free and easily. (Note: Youtube no longer lets us download videos, DO NOT SEND Youtube links as submissions.)
  • Include your Name, Title of submission, Type of submission (music, short film, performance, etc)
  • Include information you want us to mention on air like new or upcoming releases, presales, events, etc. Include info about yourself like what part of the world you are in and what inspires your art, include any specific pronouns you prefer (more about pronouns), etc.
  • Include all links to your website and social medias pages FB / IG / YT / Bandcamp / TikTok / Spotify etc because we like to tag and link back to featured artists.
  • send a logo or pic for us to use in thumbnails
  • We encourage artists to share info about their appearances on the show. When sharing use link www.jokerjokertv.com and hashtag #jokerjokertv
  • Please also consider submitting a 5-20 sec long “I want my JOKERJOKERtv” bumper video for us to use on the show as segues and in promotions. This is not mandatory. For inspiration see: https://youtu.be/AGZSWdh17l0

  • JOKERJOKER Gallery! Yes JOKERJOKERtv is a venue as well, we have an outdoor stage and can host the ocassional show. This is a house venue, so we have to be careful not to have the cops called. Alternatively, if you are able to schedule your tour to be in Athens on a Thursday, then contact us about performing LIVE In The Studio! Email us as far in advance as possible.
